About Us

The Opelika Elks Lodge on Fox Run Avenue has been a gathering point for people who believe service is its own reward. Veterans honored at ceremonies here leave with something real, not just a handshake, but a room full of people who showed up. That kind of intentional community is exactly what the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks was built on, and this lodge carries it forward with every event, every meal, every standing-room-only night on the dance floor.

Members and guests have filled this hall for decades of music, dancing, and milestone celebrations. Local bands like Magnolia Highway have played to packed crowds here, parents and children sharing the same floor, the kind of night that becomes a story people still tell. The 4.2-star rating from 21 reviews reflects a place where strangers are treated like regulars from the moment they walk in.

The lodge is affiliated with the national Elks.org organization, which means local warmth backed by one of America's oldest fraternal networks. Whether you're a long-standing member or exploring membership for the first time, you'll find a community in Opelika that takes its traditions seriously and its people even more so.

What We Offer

The Opelika Elks Lodge hosts a full calendar of events anchored by its commitment to veterans recognition, community fundraising, and member fellowship. Regularly scheduled dinners and social nights give members a reliable place to connect, and the hall is available for private events that benefit from a warm, established venue with a real stage.

Veterans programs are a cornerstone of what happens here. The lodge organizes formal ceremonies, tributes, and recognition events that draw families and community members from across the Lee County area. Charitable initiatives support local youth, veterans' services, and community causes aligned with the national Elks mission.

Membership opens access to the lodge dining room, member pricing on events, voting rights on lodge decisions, and a network of Elks chapters across the country. New members go through a straightforward application process and are welcomed into a chapter that has genuinely earned its reputation for friendliness.

"First time here at the Opelika,Al location. I was very dissatisfied with the service. The lady that took our order was awesome on May 13,2022. We waited & waited for our food. Our order was # 95. My strawberry shake was good the lady that took the order made it for me. The ice machine was broken but the back people had the cups filled with ice that was ok. We waited over 30 min for our food to come. I had to go ask about it. When the nice man brought out food it was cold. We nibbled on my hubby's fries, he ate done of his burger but we had an event to attend & couldn't wait any longer for the staff to remake it. I took my Bacon burger home with me. The staff was stresses out I'm sure as not enough people were working common these days. Thank you no apologies needed"

A Proud Heritage

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
